WWT was founded in 1989 as Western Well Tool (WWT) with the first development of the first drillstring friction reducing device (Non-Rotating Protectors). 1998, WWT developed the first hydraulic Coiled tubing tractor. As business grew internationally, Western Well Tool changed its name to WWT International. WWT products have improved significantly over the years based on field experience and customer requirements. WWT’s experience and innovative employees developed the WWT Flexshoe in 2014 as a solution to casing running challenges for a major operator, now used by many.
