Advancing Coiled Tubing Tractor Technology and Well Intervention Performance at ICoTA 2026

The team at WWT International reported a successful and productive presence at the SPE/ICoTA Well Intervention Conference and Exhibition 2026, held on 24–25 March in The Woodlands, Texas.

Day one saw strong engagement, with the team connecting with agents, operators, and industry peers while showcasing their advanced coiled tubing tractor technology. Discussions focused on improving well intervention efficiency, extended reach capabilities, downhole conveyance, and overall drilling and completion performance in challenging well environments. A highlight of the day was a technical presentation by Andrew French, titled “Light Well Intervention (LWI): Maximum Impact, Minimal Footprint,” which explored innovative approaches to delivering effective intervention with reduced operational footprint.

Building on this momentum, day two shifted toward deeper technical conversations and real-world applications. The team engaged with operators to address key challenges such as limited reach in horizontal wells, optimizing coiled tubing operations, reducing intervention costs, and improving wellbore access. They demonstrated how their coiled tubing tractor systems enhance reach in extended-reach wells, improve downhole mobility, and increase operational efficiency, delivering measurable results in the field.

Across both days, the event provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and strengthening industry relationships. WWT International emphasized the importance of these interactions in driving innovation and supporting high-performance coiled tubing operations, well intervention solutions, and next-generation tractor technologies for complex well environments.
