A Gulf of Mexico well required 14’’ casing protection at an 8°/100ft sidetrack. WWT installed 378 HD-SS3-658-slim model NRPs at 2 per joint due to excessive side force. The slim version was necessary for RCD compatibility, stripping NRPs out of hole with 350 psi backpressure. Due to excessive tar, a bypass section was also drilled and TD of 29,850 ft was successfully reached. Approximately 50 NRPs went into the open hole salt formation to protect the sidetrack point throughout both bit runs.

WWT NRPS SMOOTH & REDUCE DRAG THROUGH BUCKLED CASING
A deepwater offshore well had a highly deviated and buckled production casing throughout most of the
wellbore. The contact from pipe to casing resulted in high drag and made completion operations difficult
due to high set down weight volatility. WWT installed 594 SS3 model NRPs.
PROTECTED CASING ON A DEEPWATER WELL WITH MPD
A deepwater offshore well had a shallow dogleg and build that resulted in needing casing protection.
WWT installed 576 SS3-658-slim model NRPs. The slim version was necessary for RCD compatibility.

Problem: Operator tried unsuccessfully with competing tractors to perform well cleanout and remove composite bridge plugs to achieve target depth.
Solution: The WWT International CT Tractor was used successfully to convey the coiled tubing beyond lock-up, perform a balldrop and open up a circulation port at TD, and enable milling of composite bridge plugs left over from fracing operations.

Problem: The conveyance of tool stings carrying perforating guns and production logging instruments to TMD beyond that of the coiled tubing helical lock-up point.
Solution: The WWT International Inc. Intervention Tractor, developing 8,500 lbs. of force and installed at the end of the coiled tubing, was able to deliver tool strings to the desired location on 5 runs into the well, accumulating over 4,300 meters of walking distance at up to 17 ft. per minute.
